P.U.R.E.
In Philippians 4:8 we are instructed to think on it. It says, “…whatsoever is pure… think on these things.” But, do we really understand the definition of pure. It’s apparent when we look at the world around us and the media we are inundated with impure thoughts and actions. It’s definitely a stretch to find something pure to think on.
In an effort to positively impact the youth in our community with pure thinking, Choices for Women is partnering with others to form the P.U.R.E. Group. Group participants are People Upholding Relationships with Encouragement.
The mission of P.U.R.E. is to unite people, groups and organizations with the purpose of establishing healthy relationships (i.e. friends, courting, marriage and family) from pre-adolescence and into adulthood, with education and encouragement. We want young people to know about their right to make pure choices for their own lives.
The P.U.R.E. Group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the conference room at Choices for Women’s offices, 2019 E. Spring St., New Albany. Contact us via email or call 812-941-0872 for more information.
You can earn money for PURE without spending a single additional penny.
Scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They’re the same gift certificates that you normally buy at stores. Participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to PURE at a discount. You buy the certificates for full face value, redeem them for full face value, and the retailer donates a predetermined percentage to our organization as revenue.
These cards can be used to purchase all the things you would normally buy, such as food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out. They also make great gifts.
