…to 2656 Charlestown Road, that is. On the seven-year journey of Choices for Women there has been one constant – growth. Our volunteer and donor base has grown. Our space has grown – starting at 900 sq. ft., expanding to
2200 sq. ft and then moving to our Spring Street location with 3600 square feet. That was early 2007 and we were seeing about 140 clients each month. Now, four and a half years since our relocation, we are seeing 340 clients each month. This sprawling location has become cramped quarters.
This new space, which is actually the old Social Security office, will give us over twice our current square footage on one floor, under one roof.
Optimistically, we expect to be in our new home by March 1, 2012. The renovated structure will house five counseling rooms, a teaching kitchen, an expanded Boutique space, a classroom large enough for 30 clients, two small conference
rooms and much more. You can view the Charlestown Road floor plan here.
A few significant monetary pledges have been made to help us with the build-out, as well as donations of building supplies and contractors’ services, but more is needed. If you are interested in making a donation of money, time, supplies or professional services to help us reach even more clients, call Rose at 812-941-0872.
Also, please be in prayer for a speedy construction, for safety for the workers and for an increase in abortion-vulnerable clients to come through our new doors to hear the truth.

In the first 9 months of this year, CFW has given birth to 5 new group classes. Because of the tremendous increase in clients (we had a record 377 client visits in September) we have labor pains. In other words, we need more laborers!
Click Choices for Women Volunteer Needs to see some of the areas where help is n
eeded and prayerfully consider how you may fill a need.
The increase in clients also means our diaper supply is critically low. Would you consider a diaper drive at your church or business? Email info@choicesforwomen.org with questions.

The Seventh Annual Walk for Life was held Saturday, September 24.

This year we got a bit wet, but 118 soggy supporters brought in donations of $14,000. You can still donate online or mail in your pledges for this event if you were unable to come.

Two weeks ago I read an article on the 10th anniversary of that fateful day. I started thinking about the innocent lives lost and brave souls forging through chaos in an attempt to rescue them. As you might expect from me, my mind was then turned to innocent pre-born lives and those who spend their lives to save them. Each year at the one remaining abortion clinic in Louisville more children die than the number of people who were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Over 3000 babies have died each year in the 10 years since that September day.
