A Note to Our Choices for Women Partners in Ministry:

As we close out 2009 we want to thank you for your faithfulness to this ministry; a commitment that is clear through your financial support. We prepare for 2010 with anticipation, knowing God has a plan for this ministry to continue touching lives with the hope of Christ; to continue changing hearts – and to continue saving lives in the process.

In essence, Choices for Women is here to build a wall of protection for women and families in this area facing unplanned pregnancies. We want to be the first choice for women, a choice of hope and a place where they can learn of the empowering choice of life, both physical and eternal.

We’re together in a powerful endeavor

Ours is a great calling, to be sure. In today’s political, social and economic climate, defending the lives of children with love and conviction is – quite honestly – difficult. But we’re in this together. God has placed us in this moment not to decry this calling as a burden, but to take it on as the clarion challenge of our generation – and to succeed in truly turning our culture toward life.

Client numbers have nearly doubled from 2008. Unfortunately, our finances have not increased at the same pace. But – despite the challenges – our plan is to continue moving forward as a ministry. When it comes to matters of life, there is no room for retreat.

Launching Choices for Women into the New Year

At year-end, your special gift will give us a significant boost as we close out this record-setting year and set our course for 2010. If this is possible for you, we would appreciate your remembering Choices for Women. If you are giving monthly, perhaps you will consider a “13^th Gift” at this time, matching your regular investments in this ministry with an extra gift. If you give at other intervals, you may want to join many others who are planning to match a major gift from the last 12 months as we enter the Christmas season. Every gift is appreciated and every gift makes a difference.

With Christmas upon us, there is much to be thankful for. We are thankful for you and your heart for this ministry. It is – to be sure – an encouragement.

Diapers Wipes & Formula Oh My

I know you like to hear praise reports from time to time. We received a call from the yellow pages asking if we performed abortions. After a brief conversation, the caller decided to come in for an ultrasound. We made a special arrangement for one of our ultrasound techs to come in for a special appointment. The young lady came in and shared with her client advocate that she really didn’t want to have an abortion but the father of the baby was really pushing for one since they already had a 7-month-old and couldn’t really afford to have another one. After hearing about how they could get diapers, wipes and formula for free for both of their children and seeing the ultrasound, their hearts turned and they are now going to parent. I can tell you from watching the father’s countenance in the lobby. He was frustrated going in and very peaceful going out. Praise God for His mighty hand. It never ceases to amaze me that something as simple as diapers, wipes and formula are a tool to save babies’ lives!

Thanks for your dedication and loyalty to serving the Lord in this ministry. I count it as a privilege to be a part of something so amazing.

Thanks to CCE Inc. for all their hard work and to everyone who came out to support Choices for Women during demolition of the brown house. Soon we’ll be planning our education wing to go in it’s place.

2009 Golf Scramble

Rain, rain go away…

After some much needed renovation to the basement of the Blessing Boutique, then moving all the supplies downstairs, the basement floods. Not to be deterred, an email was sent out and our wonderful partners replied with fresh supplies in abundance. The good kind of abundance.
